Crap happens.  I lost my job, had bad credit, bills were piling up.  Then my brother was in an accident, hospitalized in Cleveland and no one to take care of his dog.  We are each other’s only family.

My old VW couldn’t go all that way. But airlines were quoting me over $600 for last minute bookings. With bad credit I didn’t know if I had options.  

Giving it a Hail Mary, I just searched on Google for Fast Cash. Car Title Loans in Scottsdale was on the first page.  Who knew?  But these weren’t the stores you see on Camelback Road or downtown Phoenix.  It’s all virtual, no crappy bulletproof glass window stores to stand in line at. The car title company said my VW was good for up to a $1200 loan.  

I needed about $800 for the flight and car rental in Cleveland.  The online application was simple, and was approved in five minutes.  My bank account received the cash by EFT in one day. In 48 hours I was in Ohio taking care of my bro and his hound.

A guy’s gotta do what a guy’s gotta do.  I might even move to Cleveland for a while as my brother recuperates.  Loans with a car title are what saved us.
